Trip to Utah July 2010

I LOVE going to Utah in July!
This year was EXTRA special because all the kids and grandkids were there
(except Uncle Caleb who is on his mission)
AND we were celebrating Grandma and Gramps both turning 60 this year...
We surprised them with a Hoe Down themed party. We made them put on their cowboy attire that we rummaged up from their closets...
We had a spiffy dance instructor, Martin, teach us a bunch of different dance steps. It looks SUPER SUPER TACKY but to everyones surprise was actually SUPER SUPER FUN!
Martin even turned out to be a pretty cool fella.
Can't visit Utah in July without a trip to "the cousins" awesome back yard pool...

The Freedom Run...
All the kiddos ran a 1 mile run. They did so awesome!
John, Jeremy, Emily and I signed up to run the 10k run. I backed out the night before due to a bad cold. John wasn't too happy about me not running... but they all did so good.
Got to love the Provo 4th of July parade... Sun beating down, a float every 5 min, millions of people swarming the streets... I mean, what's not to love.
Our new favorite family game... BLOKUS.
We got to take a tour of Gramps' Noni building...

Always tons of good eats at Grandma's house...
Gramps was always twisting someone on the tire swing.
I had to laugh as I remembered a time when I was young having my dad twist me and my sisters on a tire swing. It was spinning so fast I could hardly hold on. The expression on my face must have been misread as enjoyment instead of total terror because he kept spinning us faster and faster, I was literally on the brink of letting go when the ride finally came to an end... I felt like puking.
These kids seemed to LOVE it though
A trip to 7 Peaks...
Dinner at the Morinda gardens turned into kids swimming in the pond...
Good Times!
