Spring Break 2010

We came home from Mexico to some Utah Spring Breakers staying at our place.
Matt, Baden and Jason came to Arizona to get out of the Utah cold. They had a great week of sunshine and beautiful weather...
maybe a little too beautiful...
It brought on some summer fever.
These Utahns were itching to go to the lake. So, John and I in our warm sweats and them in their swim suits headed to Saguaro Lake.
The water was FREEZING (or so they tell me, I never touched it)!
But nothing could stop these die hards from jumping in and wake boarding

It really was a beautiful evening at the lake.
They had fun...
we had some good laughs watching them try to warm up their numb legs and feet...
and I got some great pictures.

The kids couldn't get enough of these guys
Matt, Baden and Jason, thanks for coming to visit us!
Come back to visit us soon!

Thanksgiving at Disney Land

This year for Thanksgiving we did something a little different... we took a trip to Disney Land. We went with some of our favorite family friends, the Sparks.
A few days before we left John surprised me with an early Christmas present, a new camera. He got me a Cannon Rebel and I have to say I had more fun taking pictures than I ever have. I took about 300 pictures on our 3 day trip. Here are a few...

A few too many times on the tea cups.

Myla and Jad are our dare devils. They went on anything and everything. Ashlee never ceases to amaze; she went on the Tower of Terror but refused to go on the Log Ride. Royce went on everything that he was tall enough to go on, which wasn't much. John will go on anything but the Tower of Terror. I have a weak stomach so if I do go on a ride you usually don't see me because I'm curled up in a ball on the floor of the ride.
Although I'm in curl-up motion, this is a good picture because you can actually see me.
For the record, I did go on the California Screamer... and it really was pretty fun.

Ashlee, Dreya & of course, Jessie.

Only in Disney Land is there a parade every day... I love their faces as they watched.

John was melted by baby Breckyn.
Royce and Greyson became best buds on this trip.
Three fun filled days at Disney Land!

Classee Ashee

We visited the eye doctor last week for a check-up on Ashlee's eyes. The result was a prescription for glasses... fabulous!
During the appointment they had to dilate her pupils. As we were leaving, Ashlee picked a sticker from the sticker basket and she held it up to me and said "I think I'll take this one of a chalk board" I glanced down at it and said "Ashlee, that's a picture of a caterpillar".
"Oh...... even better" she said and happily skipped away.
She is thrilled to now be "twins" with cousin Sydney.

Only something with hot pink on it out of the Juicy
line-up would do
and I think she looks as adorable as ever!

Jad's First Day of Preschool

Jad attended his first day at Packer Preschool today.

He has been sooo excited for school to start. He has been wearing his "cars" backpack around for the last few weeks in anticipation for this big day.
He's already charming the ladies.
He took great care to find the perfect apple for his teacher, Mrs. Packer. He rolled it around and around in his hands as we drove to school and I noticed as he got out of the car that the stem was broken off and left behind on the floor of the car... oh, well.
I missed you while you were at school, Jadderbug.
